Introduction to the Gospel

This is the wisdom of Solomon from the book of Ecclesiastes.

  • No matter how smart you are, you will die.
  • No matter how much money you have, you will die.
  • No matter how much much power you have, you will die.
  • No matter what you do in life, it will be forgotten.
  • In the end you will be dead.

From the book of Romans

  • Everyone is a sinner. You are a sinner.
  • You cannot choose not to sin. You can only choose when.
  • No matter how good you are, it is not enough.
  • All sinners must die, therefore, you must die.
  • There is nothing that you can do about it.

From the book of Acts

  • There are not many ways to be saved. It’s a lie.
  • Not through the Roman Catholic church, not through Islam, nor Hinduism or any other religion…
  • There is only one way to live.

The Gospel

There is a creator God (the one of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob). A being that sits outside of space and time. He has a plan. Even before the world was created his plan was put in motion. He loves us and he sent his Son to earth to be bound by space and time for a while in order to die for us and pay the penalty for our sins. He did for us what we could not do for ourselves–something that no one deserves. His plan for saving the world revolves around Jesus of Nazareth and no other and Jesus wants even you to live forever with Him.

No matter what you have done in your life, no matter what sin you have committed, Jesus’ sacrifice washes away that sin, he puts himself inside you and makes your scarlet sins white as the pure driven snow. Jesus in you enables you for the first time to choose not to sin.

He has prepared a place for you in his Kingdom. A place where every tear is wiped away. Where there is no sorrow or pain or death anymore. Jesus wants you to believe in his good news and in his ability to bring it about. He calls you to come to him and his arms are outstretched to receive you.
